China Openly Comes Out in Support of Pakistan

Chinese Foreign Minister Wang Yi spoke on phone with Pakistan’s Deputy Prime Minister and Foreign Minister Ishaq Dar and praised Pakistan’s role in mediating between the United States and Iran.

Wang Yi appreciated Pakistan’s consistent efforts for peace and stability and reiterated China’s unwavering support for Islamabad’s mediation. The conversation focused on the high-level talks held in Switzerland, where Pakistan and Qatar played a key mediating role.

Both sides agreed to work together to achieve a permanent end to confrontation, long-term peace, shared development and common prosperity. A high-level committee and three working groups have been formed to monitor the process and aim for a final agreement within 60 days.
