Nurse Murdered in Meerut Hospital OT: Married Lover Arrested for Poisoning Drip

Meerut police have unraveled the suspicious death of a nurse at a private hospital in the Lohiya Nagar area, arresting two hospital staff members, including the victim's married lover.

Incident Overview:
- The victim, 25-year-old Neha from Pafunda, worked as a nurse at MCC Hospital. On Saturday morning, she went to work and was later found unconscious in the hospital's Operation Theatre (OT), where doctors declared her dead.
- Police initially found sulfur pills and a suicide note blaming in-laws, but the victim's family doubted the handwriting, prompting a deeper criminal investigation.

Investigation & Arrests:
- CCTV footage and call detail records revealed that Suresh, a hospital employee, had been in a relationship with Neha for 7-8 months. Suresh, who is married with a child, was facing constant pressure from Neha to marry him.
- To eliminate her, Suresh, along with an accomplice named Farhan, lured Neha into the OT under the pretext of giving her a drip for weakness. They injected a toxic chemical substance into the IV line, causing her death.
- The accused then placed sulfur pills and a fabricated suicide note written on a notepad to disguise the murder as a suicide.

Police Action:
CO Kotwali Sangram Singh confirmed that forensic teams collected evidence, including the fake suicide note, the notepad, syringes, chemical wrappers, and Neha's mobile phone. Following strict interrogation and CCTV analysis, the accused confessed to the crime, leading to their arrest.
