Strength is Essential for Peace: Modi
Speaking at the tri-service commissioning ceremony, PM Modi highlighted that June 21 is also observed as World Hydrography Day, coinciding with the commissioning of India’s most advanced hydrographic ship, INS Sanshodhak.
He said no country can become a major power without maritime strength. Development, security, and prosperity are linked to the sea. India has always seen the sea as a medium of cooperation but also understands that strength is necessary to protect peace.
PM Modi linked the induction of these ships to India’s journey of Atmanirbhar Bharat (self-reliance). He described it as a significant milestone in India’s maritime security.
On the occasion of International Yoga Day, PM Modi also addressed a grand event in Kolkata. He encouraged people to aim for greater flexibility, energy, and health with age — to be more flexible at 40 than at 20, more energetic at 50 than at 30, and stronger against diseases at 70 than at 40.
