Twist in the Story of Ayushi, Who Gave a Contract to Kill Her Mother

Ayushi from Jaipur... until a few days ago, hardly anyone had heard this name. But now it has become one of the most talked-about criminal cases in Rajasthan. Police allege that Ayushi, a final-year LLB student, gave a contract to kill her own mother, Neeraj Sharma. The deal was allegedly struck for Rs 7 lakh. As the investigation progresses, new layers of the story are unfolding.

While the probe into the mother's murder was underway, Neeraj Sharma's brother, Rakesh Sharma, came forward with a claim that changed the direction of the entire case. He alleges that this was not the first suspicious death in the family. Prior to this, the death of Ayushi's father, Vijay Vashisth, in April 2025 was also unnatural, and he has demanded a fresh police investigation into it. The question is no longer just who got the mother killed, but whether there is a link between the two deaths in this family. Relatives claim the family owns property worth around Rs 14 crore. Vijay Vashisth was a Court Master in the Rajasthan High Court. It is alleged that after his death, Ayushi first spoke about getting a government job on compassionate grounds, followed by discussions to transfer the property to her name. Her uncle alleges that tension grew in the family over the property and the job.

During police interrogation, Ayushi allegedly stated that she felt her mother loved her special-needs brother more, leaving her feeling isolated. She also mentioned long-standing strained relations and frequent arguments with her mother. However, the most sensational claim comes from Ayushi's uncle, who stated that during a fight, Ayushi allegedly taunted her mother, saying, 'When I killed Papa, what are you...' Relatives claim that following this threat, Neeraj Sharma posted a WhatsApp status reading, 'Only two days of life left.' Rakesh Sharma added that while his brother-in-law Vijay had been ill for a long time, he was recovering before being hastily moved to another hospital where he died, and his last rites were rushed.

Another name frequently emerging in this case is Balram, Ayushi's cousin, who allegedly supported her in every major decision and is currently being sought by the police. Jaipur police describe Ayushi as exceptionally sharp-minded. Investigating officers note she gives normal answers to many questions but goes completely silent on matters concerning her childhood or personal life. Consequently, she will now be interrogated with the help of psychologists to better understand her behavior and motives.

DCP Ranjita Sharma stated that the complaint regarding the father's death and other allegations will also be investigated. The case currently revolves around a mother's murder, questions over a father's death, a Rs 14 crore property dispute, a government job, broken family ties, and several allegations whose truth is yet to be uncovered.
