World's Largest Curd Plant to be Built in Howrah, West Bengal
Key Highlights of the Project:
- Massive Capacity: The plant will process around 3 million (30 lakh) liters of milk daily and produce approximately 1,000 tonnes of curd and other cultured dairy products every day.
- Diverse Production: In addition to curd, the facility will have the capacity to produce 1 million liters of packaged milk, 200,000 liters of UHT milk, 100,000 liters of ice cream, 20 metric tonnes of paneer, 10 metric tonnes of ghee, 10 metric tonnes of sweets, and 250,000 packs of flavored milk daily.
- Farmer Empowerment: The cooperative initiative is designed to provide a sustainable market, advanced processing facilities, and enhanced value addition for local dairy producers, strengthening eastern India's cooperative dairy network.
