Heavy Volatility in Asian Markets

Asian stock markets opened mixed with most indices in the red due to renewed tensions between the US and Iran. South Korea’s KOSPI fell nearly 2%, Japan’s Nikkei dropped 1%, while Hong Kong and Chinese markets showed some gains.

Brent crude rose 0.85% to $72.6 per barrel and WTI crossed $70 per barrel. Indian markets are expected to open with mild gains, with Nifty likely to open around 34 points higher.

Investors are also worried about a possible Fed rate hike and over-valuation in AI-related companies.
