No Clean Chit, FIR Recommended

The Special Investigation Team (SIT) probing the alleged irregularities in donations at Ayodhya’s Shri Ram Temple has submitted its preliminary report to the Uttar Pradesh government.

The report was handed over to Additional Chief Secretary (Home) Sanjay Prasad on Tuesday. According to sources, it recommends action and registration of FIRs against some employees. No clean chit has been given to anyone so far.

Lucknow Division Commissioner Dr. Vijay Vishwas Pant, who heads the SIT, confirmed the submission of the report. He said the findings are highly sensitive and cannot be made public immediately due to privacy and security reasons.

The report highlights serious lapses in the counting and monitoring of donations. The SIT has sought more time for a detailed and comprehensive investigation.
