The Southwest Monsoon has advanced further, covering parts of central Arabian Sea, Maharashtra, Telangana, Karnataka, Chhattisgarh, Odisha, Jharkhand, and Bihar. The India Meteorological Department (IMD) stated that conditions are favourable for further advancement in the next 48 hours.

According to weather experts, the monsoon is expected to reach Delhi in the first week of July. A favourable system is likely to form over the Bay of Bengal around June 25-26, which may help the monsoon advance towards the national capital.
